Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, continence care, mobility and promoting independence
* Lead by example on shift, ensuring care is delivered in line with individual care plans and CQC standards
* Safely administer and record medication in accordance with MAR charts, policies and training
* Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and escalate any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals
* Provide compassionate, person-centred support to residents living with dementia or complex needs, using positive behaviour support approaches
* Support residents to engage in meaningful activities that promote wellbeing, dignity and choice
* Maintain accurate and timely care records, daily notes, body maps and incident reports as required
* Ensure infection prevention and control measures are followed at all times
* Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment, adhering to moving and handling and health & safety procedures
* Support end-of-life and palliative care in line with residents' wishes, care plans and best practice
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and visiting professionals
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or working towards / willingness to complete)
* Previous experience in a care home or residential care setting
* Experience supporting residents living with dementia or complex needs
* Confident in medication administration and understanding of care plans and risk assessments
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and guide care staff on shift
* Compassionate, calm and professional approach to care delivery
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Physically able to support residents with mobility and moving and handling tasks, in line with training
* Willingness to complete all mandatory training, which will be provided (including medication, moving & handling, infection prevention & control, safeguarding, and emergency response)
* Committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and continuous improvement

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
