This full-time role is ideal for a confident teacher who is passionate about early Key Stage 1 education and supporting pupils as they build strong foundations in their learning journey. The school has a nurturing ethos, supportive leadership, and a strong focus on high-quality teaching and pupil wellbeing. You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that support both academic progress and personal development, while working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team.Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
* Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
* Differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities and learning needs.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to parents evenings and staff meetings.
* Support pupils academic, social, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1.
* Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Has excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate effectively.
* Is committed to high expectations, pupil progress, and teamwork.
