Supply Chain Manager Location: Hartlebury Department: Operations / Supply Chain Reports to: Operations Director Employment Type: Fulltime Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimise our supply chain and warehousing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process from procurement and production planning to inventory control and associated logistics The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing supply chains, excellent analytical and negotiation skills, be a strong people manager and have a proactive approach to solving supply-related challenges. Key responsibilities: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support business goals and improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Work closely with the procurement manager to ensure supplier performance and best value are managed in all aspects of bought in materials and services. Collaborate with production and NPD to ensure seamless flow of materials and information. Utilise and optimise the Netstock application to oversee inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste or shortages. Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors; supporting the purchasing manage in evaluating supplier performance. Analyse supply chain data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Coordinate logistics, principally inbound shipments, warehousing, and support distribution. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and sustainability initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Manage budgets and forecast material and resource needs in line with production schedules and market demand. Qualifications and Skills: Required: 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred: Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or a related field. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
