A 50-Year Industry Leader Seeks a Project Manager
A highly stable, 50-year-old leader in Building Management Systems (BMS) is expanding its reach across the whole of Ireland and is looking for a commercially astute Project Manager to join its team. With a reputation built on stability, in-house manufacturing, and commitment to technology partners like Trend, Tridium, and Siemens, this company offers a unique career path.
The Opportunity
This role is about end-to-end project management. You will be the central point of contact, managing multiple live projects from sales handover through to final account agreement. This is a crucial role for a resilient professional who wants to build a long-term career in the fast-growing BMS industry.
You will manage the entire project lifecycle:
* Liaising with our in-house panel design and build teams.
* Coordinating with the commissioning department.
* Managing the electrical installation (when required).
* Taking responsibility for monthly invoicing and overall financial success.
* Nurturing strong client and contractor relationships to promote the companies brand.
The Benefits & Career Track
This role presents an exceptional opportunity to build a long-term, specialised career.
* Ownership Stake: The Project Manager receives shares in the company after one year, granting them a literal ownership stake in the business and allowing them to benefit directly from the success they drive.
* Entry to BMS: This is a fantastic chance to enter the high-growth BMS sector, as no prior BMS controls experience is required. The company provides complete, paid training in control theory, design, manufacturing, and relevant certifications.
* Stability and Work-Life Balance: As a long-established company with a strong culture of promoting from within, it offers a secure, long-term career. The role guarantees no weekend work or on-call duties.
* Compensation: The position offers a competitive salary (up to £50k max) plus a company car all expenses paid for.
* Autonomy: The Project Manager manages diverse projects end-to-end, taking full ownership from sales handover to final account agreement, and coordinating with in-house design and manufacturing teams.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
The company is seeking a dedicated professional who is ready for a long-term commitment.
* Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience managing M&E contractors.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical control panel drawings (essential).
* Strong commercial project management skills (e.g., budget control, final accounts).
* Excellent problem-solving and client engagement abilities.
* Full Drivers Licence.
* The Right Mindset:
* Seeking a stable, long-term career (job-hoppers are not a fit).
* Highly motivated and commercially driven.
* Desirable Experience (Not Required):
* Previous experience with Trend or Tridium BMS controls.
The role is split between the Northern Ireland office (60%) and client sites across Ireland (40%).
This opportunity is perfect for a commercially driven Project Manager with an electrical background who wants to step into the specialised, high-growth field of BMS while gaining company ownership.
