The Role
The role of the Positive Behaviour Care Assistant is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Positive Behaviour Care Assistants work closely with the senior team to meet the daily needs of residents using a positive behaviour, person centred approach.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide direct care and support to residents with complex behavioural needs, including assisting with activities of daily living, behaviour management and emotional support.
* Establish rapport and build trusting relationships with residents, demonstrating empathy, patience and understanding in all interactions.
* Assist senior and nursing team members with care plans, tasks, and activities to support the residents wellbeing.
* Provide care in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes.
* Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved, promoting mental stimulation, socialisation and emotional wellbeing.
* Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed, following established processes and ensuring resident safety and wellbeing.
* Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager

This is a temporary role for Maternity cover. Full time 44 hours a week. 1x Day duty. 1x Night duty

Required Criteria
* To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
* A good standard of written and oral English
* The Right to Work in the UK
Desired Criteria
* Previous experience within a care setting
* At least 6 months experience working in a regulated care or support environment for people with learning disability or complex needs
* Educated to QCF level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social care
Salary: £13.30 per hour
