We are currently seeking a full time Sales Account Manager for Weald Packaging Supplies Ltd
This role is designed to be a challenging and rewarding opportunity to aid in the growth and development of our food packaging and sundries business. This key role will provide support to the Managing Director in achieving the company objectives, maintaining relationships with our existing customer base and the daily management of enquiries and orders.
The role will be full-time based at our Buxted premises, with hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Weald Packaging Supplies is an independent family run company established in 1983. We supply the food industry with a massive range of packaging, ingredients, and sundries across the UK. Our existing team of twelve are friendly, professional, and committed to growing the business. The company has seen a strong period of growth with a strategic vision for continued growth over the next 5 years. We are looking for additional staff who can really add value and help make the business aims a reality.
The role includes but is not limited to:
* Managing incoming sales calls from clients.
* To provide support to the Managing Director.
* Execute the sales process in a timely and professional manner.
* Manage client expectations in terms of timescales, Product availability and costs.
* Liaising with suppliers and other staff members to deal with queries.
* Provide solutions that meet the customers requirements in terms of application, performance, timescales and budget.
* To provide some assistance with technical overseen by the MD
* Aiding to achieve the companies five year vision for growth and expansion.
* To have a clear understanding of the companies pricing policy in terms of price breaks, customer allocations, bespoke pricing and authorisation levels. To execute this correctly and consistently.
Skills, Experience, Knowledge
* 3years + account management or sales experience in a B2B role (ideally within food preparation & production)
* 2 years experience selling a broad and diverse product portfolio (good product knowledge of current)
* Proven experience growing existing accounts, achieving KPI's and securing £3M+ TO per year.
* Experience following a structured sales process and compiling quotations and or proposals
* Experience using a CRM system to manage and track opportunities and effectively account manage. Forecasting experience preferrable but not essential.
* Face to face selling experience - an understanding of how to run effective customer meetings (preferable)
* Great phone manner and has experience connecting, selling and account managing on the phone and/or video
* Experience in selling to and building relationships with procurement managers, purchasing assistant/managers or contract managers (preferable)
* Ability to grasp large variety of product information and be comfortable discussing/guiding customers to the right product choice based on application, vol requirements and technical requirements
* Strong sales skills and sales structure (rapport building, questioning, matching, objection handling and closing)
* Excellent relationship builder
* Ability to influence, close and negotiate effectively
* Ave+ numerical skills
* To be able to work independently and take initiative.
* To be able to work within a team to achieve objectives.
* To have a good commercial understanding and spot opportunities.
Training will be provided at our offices in Buxted, free parking on site, company pension and bonus scheme.
