SALES MANAGER Location: Solihull, West Midlands (Hybrid/Office-based) Sector: Civil Engineering / Steel / Construction Salary: £45K - £50K basic depending on experience Bonus Benefits Package including Private Health Care, 7.5% pension contribution. Are you a dynamic and technically-minded sales professional ready to take ownership of high-value engineering projects across the UK & Ireland? We are working in partnership with a leading steel and mining company, to recruit a Sales Manager for their Sheet Piling business unit. This is an exciting opportunity to represent one of the most recognised brands in structural steel, driving sales of sheet piles and foundation solutions in the infrastructure and civil engineering sectors. Key Responsibilities Act as the principal contact between customers and the European mills. Manage and grow a portfolio of clients and major projects across the UK & Ireland. Provide tailored commercial and technical support to clients, ensuring project-specific solutions are delivered. Lead complex project negotiations from enquiry through to order delivery and final payment. Monitor market trends, project pipelines, and competitor activity. Drive commercial performance against annual volume and pricing targets. Collaborate across internal teams (logistics, technical, finance) to ensure smooth project execution. About You Proven background in sales or commercial project management within manufacturing, civil engineering, or steel sectors. Strong understanding of engineered solutions, infrastructure procurement, and project cycles. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills at all levels. High attention to detail, numerate, and confident with systems (SAP, Excel, Teams). Ability to travel across the UK & Ireland, and occasionally to Europe. Why Apply?
