Job Description
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a tier-one main contractor specialising in major power, nuclear, marine, and heavy civil engineering infrastructure projects in Scotland.
Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a £200m+ nuclear and power infrastructure project, delivering critical defence and energy-related works including marine civils, structural concrete, and nuclear-grade infrastructure under NEC4 contracts. This is a rolling long-term contract starting end of February / March, inside IR35, with clear potential to move onto further nuclear and power projects within a secure, regulated environment.

Package offered for this Quantity Surveyor role:
· £425 per day
· Inside IR35
· Long-term rolling contract
· 45-hour working week
· 3–4 days per week on site

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:
· Commercial management of nuclear and power-related heavy civils packages under NEC4 contracts
· Managing valuations, cost control, forecasting, and final accounts on nuclear-regulated works
· Working closely with site and engineering teams delivering marine civils and nuclear-grade structural concrete
· Managing subcontractor procurement, compensation events, and change control
· Producing accurate commercial reporting in line with nuclear governance, assurance, and compliance requirements
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:
· Strong background in heavy civils, ideally within power, nuclear, or defence infrastructure
· Demonstrable experience working for a main contractor on long-term major projects
· Excellent working knowledge of NEC4 contracts
· Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (£100m+ preferred)
· Proactive, detail-driven, and reliable with strong timekeeping and collaborative working in secure environments
