This role is critical in ensuring month-end and financial operations are executed accurately, efficiently, and with full ownership. The role will focus on end-to-end delivery of financial processes, embedding controls, and translating designed finance processes into practical, working solutions across the business. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with ERP systems (NetSuite), large data sets, and Excel-based analysis, with a strong focus on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional to take ownership of key processes within a fast-paced and evolving business environment, ensuring finance outputs are not only accurate but operationally effective. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management accounts and financial reports. Provide meaningful financial analysis to support business decision-making, ensuring outputs reflect commercial context. Investigate variances, trends, and anomalies, taking ownership of follow-up actions. Prepare data for Group consolidation, including both financial and non-financial information. Month-End Close & Financial Control Ownership of month-end close processes end-to-end, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining clear ownership of issues through to resolution. Ensure accurate preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SOX. Support audit processes, providing required information and resolving queries efficiently. Process Ownership & Improvement Implement and embed finance processes and controls, ensuring they are effectively adopted across the business. Identify and drive process improvements, increasing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. Translate finance processes into practical, workable solutions that operate effectively in day-to-day business activities. Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution. Systems & Data Work extensively with NetSuite to support reporting, process improvements, and system optimisation. Handle large data sets, using tools such as Excel and Power Query to build efficient and scalable solutions. Streamline manual or complex processes through automation or improved design where possible. Business Partnering & Collaboration Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial processes are understood, practical, and consistently applied. Collaborate with the wider finance team, including transaction teams, to ensure smooth delivery of end-to-end processes. Provide financial information and support to the business as required. Support budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing insights where appropriate. Additional Responsibilities Support ad hoc financial and business projects as required. Contribute to the continuous development of finance operations and processes. Skills and Attributes Required Technical Skills Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role with ownership of month-end processes. Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience. Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations. Experience preparing full management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. Strong Excel skills, including working with large data sets and building efficient models. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar). Personal Attributes High ownership mindset, with the ability to take responsibility for end-to-end delivery.
