We are proud to be partnering with an award‑winning higher education institution to appoint an HR Business Partner on a 5‑month FTC, primarily to support with employee relations casework.
This will be a full-time position based in Birmingham, with hybrid working (2 days home working) and a salary of circa £50,000.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Provide specialist employee relations advice to managers and staff, simplifying complex employment issues
* Manage a full range of ER casework, including sickness, absence, capability and performance, under the guidance of the ER Manager
* Influence, coach and advise managers, offering solutions that support business objectives and build confident decision‑making
* Support managers through HR policy updates and changes in employment legislation.
* Deliver training to managers to strengthen their capability in handling employee relations matters effectively
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
* CIPD Level 5 (desirable)
* Strong ER casework experience
* Confident delivering first‑line HR advice
* Solid employment law knowledge
* Strong influencing, coaching and relationship‑building skills
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail
* Good HR systems and Excel capability
* Able to deliver presentations and training
Working hours:
* 37 hours per week
* Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
