Registered Nurse - Mental Health - Aneurin Ward

The role of nurse at Band 5 level is to assist the Ward Manager and deputies in delivering the day-to-day running of the service, including ensuring the ethos of the service is conducive to patient care.
The post-holder will take charge of the day to day Clinical and Nurse Management of the ward in the absence of more senior staff.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also supervise junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualification
* NMC registered
* Evidence of post registration study and training, POVA, Child Protection, Intermediate Life Support if required in clinical setting
Experience
* Experience of providing holistic nursing care
* Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
* Implement evidence based practice
Skills
* Clear understanding of contract of care
* Ability to document details clearly and accurately
* Clear understanding of consent process
* Basic IT skills
* Knowledge of incident reporting policy
* Awareness of Policies Knowledge of incident reporting policy
