About the role
This role will be a Countywide permanent post; the post holder will be working in partnership with Mindworks Surrey, the new emotional wellbeing and mental health service for children and young people. This role has been created to develop and embed links/pathway between services, working directly with children and young people accessing Mindworks Surrey. Catch22 will co-ordinate/oversee the partnership work. Catch22 SYPSMS and the organisational experience and skill can support the post holder and serve to enhance delivery.
Main responsibilities:
1. To develop and embed links/pathway between services, working directly with children and young people who are accessing Mindworks Surrey.
2. To provide sustained support to a pre-defined caseload of young people, who are referred by means of effective assessment and care planning.
3. To act as a link worker between Surrey Mindworks and Catch22 SYPSMS, ensuring delivery of an integrated provision for children and young people.
4. To deliver therapeutic interventions, such as brief solution focused and motivational interviewing, as well as contributing to systemic practice.
5. To work alongside Surrey Mindworks colleagues, providing consultation and guidance.
6. To assess levels of presenting risk associated with substance misuse, and provide support in managing this risk.
7. In partnership with SYPSMS colleagues, to deliver training and workshops to support and upskill staff.
8. To identify and develop resources to support professionals working with children and young people with substance misuse issues.
Qualifications
9. A relevant qualification such as youth work, counselling, health and social care, and/or relevant experience of therapeutic delivery, and alternative suitable qualifications.
10. Good communication, organisational, and ICT skills.

11. You will demonstrate knowledge and competency in delivering young people’s substance misuse interventions, to a wide arrange of individuals, according to their needs.
12. You will have knowledge/understanding and or direct experience of supporting C&YP who are experiencing difficulties with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
13. You will evidence that you are able to work to a high standard of record keeping in a timely manner, in accordance with Catch22 delivery outcomes, targets and recording procedures.
14. You will be able to deliver and evidence high quality engagement and support to the young people and families we work with.
15. You will communicate and work collaboratively, constructively and effectively with colleagues and partner agencies, ensuring effective partnership working, representing Catch22 professionally at all times, and contributing positively to the team and Catch22.
