* Developing engineering strategies for new builds, operational reactors, and decommissioning.
* Authoring high-quality technical reports, specifications, and safety documentation.
* Providing expertise across nuclear, mechanical, and process engineering disciplines.
* Supporting clients with concept design, system troubleshooting, and lifecycle analysis.
* Mentoring junior colleagues and providing technical leadership.
* Leading project delivery – balancing time, cost, and quality objectives.
* Generating client proposals and identifying new business opportunities.
* Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Current Projects You Could Join:
* Supporting the safety case for Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.
* Designing containment systems for the next generation of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).
* Exploring novel technologies for the disposal of intermediate level solvent waste.
* Delivering maintenance outage support to the UK’s fleet of Advanced Gas-Cooled Reactors (AGRs).
* Engineering studies for front-end design of new systems at Sizewell B.
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar field.
* Prior experience in the nuclear industry or in other regulated engineering environments.
* Familiarity with UK nuclear safety regulations, industry codes, and standards.
* Hands-on involvement in design, delivery, commissioning, or troubleshooting of complex systems.
* Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
* Ability to support clients with problem-solving, system analysis, and risk-based decision-making.
Please note: Due to the nature of this work, applicants must meet UK National Security Vetting requirements.
What’s In It For You?
* Flexible hybrid working (home, office, and client site).
* Competitive salary: £45,000–£55,000, depending on experience.
* 25 days’ annual leave + buy/sell holiday scheme.
* Company pension scheme & performance-based bonus.
* Private healthcare & life assurance.
* Professional membership fees paid & structured development support.
