Workshop Assistant (Weekend) Location: Gillingham Hours: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:30pm Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour Contract: Weekend role (36 hours per week) The Role We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Assistant to support weekend manufacturing operations at our Gillingham site. This role involves assisting with fabrication, assembly, and general workshop activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities Carry out project-specific manufacturing activities during weekend shifts Fit and assemble parts using hand tools Undertake basic fabrication tasks including measuring, drilling, and cutting Follow work instructions and drawings, reporting any discrepancies Conduct quality checks before and after manufacturing processes Assist with site opening and closing duties Adhere to all Health, Safety and internal manufacturing procedures Ensure all tools, equipment, and tasks are carried out safely and correctly Identify opportunities to improve processes and performance Maintain high-quality standards at all times Skills & Attributes Required Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment Ability to understand engineering/manufacturing drawings Health & Safety conscious with strong attention to detail Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Proactive approach with the confidence to work independently when required Honest, reliable, and trustworthy Benefits: Friday - Sunday (3 day week) Free parking on site and close to public transport Weekly pay Earn holiday as you work Access to Adecco's benefits including retail discountsWhy Apply?
