Job Description Job Title: Environment and Waste Advisor - Submarines Working Pattern: Full time Working location: Derby/Hybrid What you will be doing As an Environment and Waste Advisor, you’ll play a critical role in driving Rolls-Royce’s commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance. Working within a specialist team, you’ll help shape waste management practices, provide expert advice on environmental legislation, and support key projects that have a lasting impact on both the business and the environment. Responsibilities You’ll be: Supporting the implementation and improvement of Rolls-Royce’s environmental management system. Advising on environmental compliance, focusing on hazardous and complex waste, and ensuring adherence to ISO standards and legislation. Leading environmental risk assessments and driving improvements to reduce environmental impact across operations. Collaborating with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment with environmental permits and regulations. Supporting critical infrastructure projects, ensuring environmental sustainability is integrated into project planning and execution. Why Rolls-Royce? Essential Criteria: Experience with environmental management systems and knowledge of ISO standards, including environmental compliance and waste management. Strong understanding of environmental legislation, including waste hierarchy and hazardous waste regulations. Background in environmental impact assessments and risk management. Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including regulators and senior leadership. Experience supporting or managing environmental sustainability projects, ideally within a highly regulated industry.
