As our Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the home in order to reach or exceed goals while assuring the provision of high‑quality care. You’ll oversee care staff and assume full management when the Home Manager is absent. You’ll train and supervise staff, support pre‑admission assessments, keep care plans and daily records current, and foster communication with residents’ families and external organisations.
Responsibilities

* Oversee and supervise care staff, providing instruction and setting a good example.
* Assume full management responsibilities when the Home Manager is not present.
* Help with pre‑admission resident assessments.
* Ensure care plans and daily records are kept up to date.
* Foster effective communication with residents’ families and external organisations.
* Report to the Home Manager.
Qualifications
* NMC registered nurse with relevant experience.
* Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
* Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care.
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
* Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and the staffing team.
* Ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
