Centristic Ltd is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our fabrication workshop team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in steelwork and fabrication who takes pride in precision, detail, and ensuring the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular quality assessments on incoming materials and outgoing products.
Reject products and materials that do not meet company standards.
Inspect steel fabrication work on the shop floor, ensuring compliance with weld specifications, orientation, quality, and dimensions.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Measure product dimensions, check functionality, and verify against requirements.
Liaise with the Production Manager and workshop staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Recommend process improvements to maintain and enhance quality.
Document inspection outcomes with detailed reports and performance records.
Record goods in and goods out accurately.
Collate completed engineering drawings for database entry.
Resolve quality-related issues efficiently.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of steelwork and fabrication (essential).
Competent in MS Office applications.
Strong mathematical and technical skills.
Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting abilities.
High attention to detail.
