Job Title: Junior Warehouse Assistant
Department: Matchroom Media Facilities
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager
Location: Bristol (possible occasional UK and international travel)
Overview
Matchroom Media Facilities manages a large and constantly moving inventory of broadcast equipment used across global live sports productions. The Junior Warehouse Assistant supports the preparation, organisation, movement and maintenance of this equipment to ensure productions are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
This role is operational and hands-on, forming a key part of the logistics chain that underpins Matchroom's production output. Accuracy, organisation and care of equipment are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Preparation & Returns
Pick, prepare and pack equipment for upcoming productions based on kit lists and planning sheets.
Check all outgoing equipment for completeness, correct labelling and working condition.
Receive and process returned equipment, checking against equipment lists and reporting any damage or missing items.
Clean, re-pack and return equipment to correct storage locations.
Warehouse Organisation
Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
Store equipment correctly in line with shelving plans and protective case layouts.
Assist with stock rotation, cable management and case labelling.
Support the implementation of improved storage systems and workflows.
Inventory & Asset Management
Assist with updating inventory systems (e.g. Current RMS).
Apply and maintain asset labels, barcodes and tracking IDs.
Support periodic stock checks and audits.
Assist with logging equipment depreciation, maintenance status and repair needs.
Logistics & Transport
Assist with loading and unloading vans for UK and international events.
Prepare equipment for shipping, including carnet documentation and customs requirements where required.
Support transport planning by ensuring kit is packed efficiently and securely.
Occasionally travel with equipment to events to assist with on-site setup and returns.
Engineering Support
Assist engineers with basic prep tasks such as cable building, labelling, and simple system builds.
Support testing of equipment (power-up checks, signal checks, accessories).
Report faults or technical issues clearly to engineering team.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
Good physical fitness and ability to safely lift and move equipment.
Basic IT skills for inventory systems and documentation.
Ability to follow processes accurately and consistently.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexible if weekend work required (un-common and will be subject to time given back)
Flexible with working hours during busy production periods
Desirable
Experience in a warehouse, logistics or technical environment.
Interest in broadcast, live events or production equipment.
Basic understanding of cables, connectors and AV equipment.
Forklift licence (or willingness to be trained).
Full UK driving licence.
