Job Description: We have a vacancy for an experienced Manual Turner/Miller. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of machining processes and be skilled at operating manual lathes and other related machinery. This role involves fabricating components to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. Main duties: Skilled in interpreting technical drawings for part production. Use mathematical skills and measuring instruments to determine dimensions and tolerances. Produce parts to specifications using various tools, including lathes, milling machines and drills. Carry out intermediate inspection using gauges and measuring instruments. Active involvement in continuous improvement. Maintain high tolerances and focus on health and safety with a good attention to detail. Ensure all work is executed to the highest professional standards. Comply with all policies, specifications and safety procedures. Experience and skills required: Relevant experience in a machine environment. Skilled in operating manual and semi-auto lathes and mills. (Prototrak / XYZ) Time-served qualifications such as ONC, NVQ, or similar Apprenticeships. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Good physical fitness to meet the job's demands. A flexible and proactive outlook.
