Vetro is actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers on behalf of a client based in Pembroke Dock, on a temp-to-perm basis. The client supports adults with complex needs associated with autism, providing a mix of education, care, and therapeutic support to offer placements for unique individuals. The client will provide full essential training to ensure the correct support is provided.
Overview:
1. Title: Adults Learning Disability Support Worker

4. Pay: £13.38 p/h (inclusive of holidays)
5. Shifts: Ad hoc/temporary/temp to perm/part-time hours/full-time hours

The role:
What you'll be doing as a Learning Disability Support Worker:
You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.
The candidate:
What you'll need to be successful as a Learning Disability Support Worker:
1. A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities
2. Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
3. A minimum of 6 months experience of working within a social care setting in the UK
4. Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
5. The right to work in the UK
