The role:
My client are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join their team.
You will work on cutting edge, low latency, highly optimised Linux Compute environments which serve as the backbone of Trading Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Managing large scale Linux environments
* Platform standardisation, automation, testing and monitoring
* Adhering to best practices for source control, testing, CI/CD and configuration management
* Working with petabyte scale storage systems
* Automating the estate wherever possible
Core skills required:
* Extensive experience working in Linux environments
* Configuration Management – Ansible / Chef
* Storage – NGS / GPFS / WEKA etc.
* Python
* Observability – ELK / Prometheus / Grafana / VictoriaMetrics etc.
* Cloud experience useful – AWS / GCP
