Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a Secondary School (SEMH Focus) Location: Portsmouth Pay: £13.75 per hour – Term Time Only Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within a secondary school in Portsmouth supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference in the lives of young people who require help with emotional regulation, relationship building, and setting boundaries. The Role Work on a one-to-one and small group basis with pupils who have SEMH needs. Support pupils with managing emotions, behaviour, and developing positive relationships. Assist with adapting learning to meet individual needs. Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide a safe and supportive environment. Requirements Previous experience working with children or young adults who struggle with emotional regulation and building relationships is essential. Ability to drive is highly desirable. Must have a clear DBS or be willing to apply for one. Availability between 8:30–15:30 Monday to Friday Passion, patience, and resilience when working with young people facing emotional challenges.
