The Division of Surgery is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for 2 dynamic and innovative individuals to join our team as Service Managers. This role provides high level delegated operational management support to a variety of complex surgical services, working with the unit triumvirate to ensure the effective delivery of care to patients across NHS Grampian and beyond.
The successful candidate will have oversight of key pillars of governance across the unit, working closely with teams to deliver service and workforce plans in line with organisational priorities, as well as planned care targets and KPI’s.
The successful candidate will be organised and adaptable, with a proven track record of service delivery within the healthcare arena. They will be able to evidence excellent people management skills and experience in collaborative working, as well as understanding, interpreting and presenting data. This is a highly demanding position, but one which will offer excellent opportunities for career development and progression.
This is an excellent chance for an individual to build upon their experience in a fast paced and high profile service that represents a key performance area for NHS Grampian.
As there is an option for this post to be offered as a secondment, if you are a current NHS Grampian employee please ensure you seek permission from your current line manager to agree to the secondment in principle prior to submitting your application.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
