Environmental Engineer – Contract
Location: Bristol / Yeovil (4 days onsite, 1 day remote – flexibility available)
Rate: £65.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC Clearance
We are looking for an Environmental Engineer (Level 2/3) to support major aerospace and defence programmes within a highly regulated engineering environment. This role will focus on ensuring environmental compliance, supporting sustainability initiatives, and managing environmental risks across engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the integration of environmental management requirements into product and system design.
* Assist in developing and implementing environmental management strategies for projects and programmes.
* Produce environmental documentation such as Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Case Reports, and Hazardous Materials Reports .
* Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation and standards (e.g. UK REACH, ISO 14001, Defence Standards).
* Support supplier engagement, environmental audits, and corrective actions where required.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure environmental requirements are met across the full product lifecycle .
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
* Experience in environmental engineering/management, ideally within aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated industries .
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and standards such as ISO 14001 or UK REACH .
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office .
* Must be a UK national and eligible for SC clearance.
