Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: WF4 Salary: £460 – £600 per week Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day Start Date: Immediately Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a positive difference in their learning? About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills. Responsibilities: • Support individual and small groups of students with SEN in line with their personalised plans. • Assist teaching staff in implementing lesson plans and activities tailored to students’ needs. • Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills among students. • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour. • Assist with personal care and ensure students’ dignity and safety at all times. • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support. • Use effective communication strategies to engage students and facilitate learning. Qualifications: • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. • Knowledge of SEN strategies and evidence-based support approaches. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students. • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learners.
