CHD Living, a trusted, family‑owned care group with over 35 years of experience, invites applications for a Registered Manager to lead our specialist rehabilitation service at Kingston Rehabilitation Centre.


Job Summary

As Registered Manager you will take overall responsibility for the safe and effective running of the Centre, ensuring full compliance with health and social care regulations, CQC standards, and CHD Living’s high standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, support clinical and operational excellence, and develop the service to deliver outstanding neuro‑rehabilitation to individuals with complex neurological, physical, and long‑term conditions.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide 24‑hour management and oversight of the Centre.
* Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, Health and Social Care Act 2008, and CHD Living policies.
* Recruit, train, supervise, and develop nursing and care teams.
* Lead audits, governance, quality improvement and performance reviews.
* Manage care pathways, risk assessments, care planning and patient outcomes.
* Maintain effective communication with patients, families, MDTs and external agencies.
* Act as safeguarding lead, complaint handler and liaison with external regulators (CCG, QA, Social Services, CQC).
* Oversee budgets, staffing levels, health & safety and operational efficiency.
* Lead marketing initiatives and promote a positive, professional image of the service.


Qualifications

* Significant experience in health or social care leadership, ideally within a specialist or rehabilitation setting.
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and managing regulated services.
* Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams (nurses, therapists, etc.).
* Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and people‑management skills.
* Sound knowledge of clinical risk, quality audits and compliance reporting.
* A clinical qualification or NMC registration is desirable but not essential.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent is desirable.

* Registration with NMC.


Employment Details

* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full‑time (24‑hour management of the Centre)
* Location: Kingston Rehabilitation Centre, 36 Beaufort Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey KT1 2TQ
* Salary: Depending on experience (to be discussed during interview)
