The university operates through a partnership of twelve colleges and research institutions, located throughout Argyll, the Highlands and Islands, Moray, and Perthshire.

Salary range: Starting at £41,838 (pro rata from 1/9/25), based on the national pay scales for college lecturers.
Duration: Fixed Term

Role Overview:
Are you passionate about early years and childcare provision? We're seeking a dedicated and inspiring Lecturer to join our team at UHI Argyll. You will work with pupils at Dunoon Grammar School to achieve early learning and childcare qualifications, preparing the next generation of childcare professionals. Your experience in nurseries, primary education, or wider child development services will be invaluable in informing the learning experience. This role involves delivering high-quality education, supporting student development, and contributing to a vibrant teaching environment.
Starting as soon as possible, teaching will be based at Dunoon Grammar School. The initial schedule is 12 hours per week during term time, including 8 hours of student contact time spread over Monday to Thursday:
* Monday: 10:50 - 12:30 & 14:05 - 15:45
* Tuesday: 12:30 - 13:20
* Wednesday: 10:50 - 11:40 & 14:05 - 15:45
* Thursday: 9:00 - 9:55 & 13:45 - 14:40
What You'll Bring:
* Industry experience in early learning and childcare
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work toward one
* Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education
* Ability to adapt and engage with diverse learning styles
* Educated to HN or SVQ 3 level or above in the relevant subject, with some teaching experience preferred
