The Opportunity

The role will drive growth in the region through marketing activities, supporting, planning and implementing strategic marketing and customer engagement initiatives, designing marketing programmes that meet the regional business objectives and align with the global Hitachi Energy strategy. The manager will closely collaborate with business units and local sales organisations to execute marketing activities that drive sales and increase market share. The Regional Marketing Manager reports directly to the Regional Market Development Manager and functions within Corporate Marketing.
Your Responsibilities
* Act as a strategic bridge between country sales organisations, communications, government relations and marketing teams to align on strategic priorities and objectives.
* Map and understand local customers’ decision journeys to develop promotional plans that improve engagement, lead generation and company positioning.
* Support the definition and implementation of the regional strategy by analysing markets, monitoring competitors and providing data‑driven insights for planning.
* Develop and maintain databases and dashboards to track key market metrics and performance indicators.
* Localise global value propositions and segment marketing strategies for relevant market segments.
* Plan and develop strategic marketing programmes (e.g., ABM, marketing automation lead nurturing, content development) to generate qualified leads and grow sales in line with regional growth strategies.
* Serve as the regional point of contact for global marketing campaigns and platforms and work closely with digital communications.
* Collaborate with the events team to align messaging, objectives and KPIs for strategic events (tradeshows, conferences, customer events).
* Deliver metric‑based reporting across the region to demonstrate marketing ROI and support continuous improvement of spend.
* Analyse campaign performance to provide real‑time adjustments and detailed insights on customer/prospect interest.
* Own the annually set KPIs for performance measurement and link activities to pipeline.
* Design and lead regional customer journeys that ensure the right people are targeted with the right messages at the right time.
Your Background
* B.A./B.S. degree and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in strategic marketing, product marketing or business development in a B2B environment (technical, industrial or energy/power segment preferred).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience managing end‑to‑end marketing campaigns, demand generation initiatives and marketing automation (preferably with Eloqua) and SFDC.
* Experience in marketing metrics, ROIs and reporting.
* Fluent command of English, other languages an advantage.
* Willingness to travel on business assignments.
* Strong project management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
* Strong relationship‑management skills with internal and external partners at all levels.
