Procurement Project Manager UWS (Under Water Systems)

A new opportunity has arisen within our Procurement team within Thales Under Water Systems. The role involves representing Procurement as a Procurement Project Manager, working with business functions to enable the Procurement organisation and develop supply chain solutions (competitiveness, quality, on-time delivery), fulfilling customer needs, and aligning with Thales Procurement strategy led by Global Category Managers. You will play a key role in early project stages (pre Gate 1/definition phase) of Bids, Projects, and Product teams.
UWS is at a critical growth point, developing cutting-edge capabilities for its customers. Strong Procurement support is essential to engage in this next phase of the UK Domain’s business strategy.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies align with business needs across short, medium, and long-term. You will collaborate with bid and product development teams to determine work package needs, competitiveness objectives, and target costs. Develop supply chain architecture and negotiate with suppliers to deliver a complete, competitive supply chain that meets bid/product requirements. During project execution, manage procurement aspects to ensure work packages meet technical, program, cost, and performance requirements.
