The Role
As Event Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of a set of events, from initial concept through to delivery and post-event analysis. You will define the event strategy, secure key partnerships, and ensure a commercially successful outcome.
We are looking for someone who has successfully delivered a large-scale event within the last 12 months and can demonstrate a strong track record of driving attendance, revenue, and overall event success. This role requires a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and is excited by the challenge of building something new.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading the creation, planning, and execution of a flagship event
* Developing and delivering a commercially viable event strategy with clear revenue targets
* Building and managing supplier, sponsor, and partner relationships
* Overseeing marketing and audience acquisition strategies to drive attendance and engagement
* Managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and ensuring profitability
* Recruiting, leading, and developing an events team from the ground up
* Ensuring exceptional delivery standards and a standout attendee experience

* Proven experience delivering large‑scale events, ideally within the past year

* Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of how events drive revenue through ticket sales, sponsorship, and partnerships
* Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to execution
* Strong leadership capability, with experience building and scaling event teams
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level
