Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal

Salary up to £60,000 DOE
We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, welcoming team in North Devon. This is a two‑site practice; you’ll primarily be based in Barnstaple with occasional support required at the South Molton branch.
This is a small animal role, but we also provide opportunities to work with farms and local zoos, broadening your experience.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll collaborate with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue developing your clinical skills and interests while sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
On a typical day you’ll balance consultations and surgery, ranging from routine procedures to emergency (ECC) work. There is real scope to follow your own clinical interests.
* This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week role, worked over 4 or 5 days.
* Shared weekend rota and on‑call commitment until 7 pm, after which a dedicated out‑of‑hours provider takes over.
* We can also consider part‑time applications.

* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
