About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Your responsibilities include managing food supplies, maintaining fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and cleaning. Resident wellbeing is your top priority.
We seek candidates with some kitchen experience, ideally with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to obtain one. Good organizational skills, recipe following, and considerate communication are essential. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; you should be able to recognize signs of abuse or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All staff must attend safeguarding training and be prepared to undertake additional related training.
