We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales & Hire Representative to help grow our presence in the construction, events and industrial sectors. You’ll be responsible for generating leads, building strong client relationships, and managing the full hire cycle, ensuring high standards of service and satisfaction.
THE ROLE
To drive new business and manage existing accounts by promoting and coordinating the hire and sale of our products and services. You’ll be the key point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient hire process from enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
* Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, site visits, and networking
* Research and identify upcoming construction projects using the Construction Information Services (CIS) online platform, generating suitable leads to feed into the sales pipeline.
* Respond to inbound hire and sales enquiries promptly and professionally
* Prepare and issue accurate quotes and proposals tailored to customer needs
* Liaise with internal teams (transport, operations, accounts) to ensure smooth delivery and collection of equipment
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing, and competitor activity
* Keep CRM and sales records updated with activity, pipeline progress, and client communications
* Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in B2B sales, hire, or customer service (experience in the hire industry preferred)
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage multiple enquiries and work to deadlines
* Commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
* Full driving licence
