Overview
Join to apply for the Education Mental Health Practitioner/Children\'s Wellbeing Practitioner role at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) support children, young people and their families with links to identified school settings. MHSTs work in collaboration with schools and other agencies covering populations of up to 7,000 children and young people. The service aims to increase early access to services and preventative provision, and supports schools in developing a Whole School Approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health and curriculum content around mental health in the classroom.
Responsibilities
* Assessment and Treatment of Children and Young People under the MHST 3 Core functions: Targeted Intervention, Whole School Approach, and Consultation and Liaison.
* Work as part of a team with a set number of schools to deliver the core components of the service.
* Active participation in local and county-wide meetings and supervision forums.

We have vacancies in different parts of the county, including the Kent Emotional Wellbeing Team and Medway Emotional Support Team, with information for school staff, families and professionals about the services provided by the Kent and Medway MHSTs.
Additional Details
Starting with NELFT, new starters begin with a comprehensive induction (up to two weeks) on the first Monday of each month at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex. The post is subject to a probationary period. Flexible working options (including part-time hours; 30 hours or more) may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
