At BMS, we've been engaged by a fast-growing software company to recruit a Business Development Manager, for the French market. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that's scaling rapidly in the UK and Europe.
The Company
Our client is a specialist software provider to the education sector, helping institutions optimise their planning, resource allocation and student experience.
Having recently received significant investment, the company is now entering an ambitious growth phase and is looking to extend its reach across Europe. Their AI-native scheduling tool streamlines room allocation and change requests, saving universities and colleges huge amounts of time and resource.

The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for looking after a book of 20 existing customers in France. Based from the UK, you will take the lead on an upsell sales project to the existing customers over the first year. Alongside this you will be responsible for winning new business with higher and further educational institutions.
· Own the full sales cycle - from prospecting through to signed contract
* Blend approaches - cold outreach, events, marketing leads, and the occasional RFP.
* Be responsible for the entire French market.
* Long-cycle, high-value sales (6-12 months), requiring patience, structure, and persistence.
The Candidate
We're looking for a driven salesperson who has:
* Fluent French language skill
* 2+ years of proven closing experience in b2b sales.
* SaaS, Data, Software, or other business services industry experience
* A strategic approach to market development.
The Package
* Basic Salary: Up to £50,000 - 60,000
* OTE: £100-120K (uncapped) - Commission paid on signature
* Remote working in the UK with occasional travel to France
* Holidays: 25 days
