Humanities Teacher – SEMH School | Hillingdon | September 2024 Start Location: Hillingdon, West London Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate) Subjects: Humanaties and PSHE, with potential for History and/or Sociology Salary: £30,000 – £41,000 (dependent on experience SEN allowance) We are working with an inspiring SEMH secondary school in Hillingdon seeking a dedicated and adaptable Humanities Teacher to join their team this September. About the Role: * Deliver engaging and meaningful PSHE lessons as a core subject * Option to teach History and/or Sociology, depending on experience and interests * Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs through tailored teaching strategies * Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and parents to promote holistic development * Maintain clear structure, behaviour expectations, and build trusted relationships with students * Contribute to curriculum planning, school enrichment activities, and wider school life The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * QTS or equivalent teaching qualification * Experience working in alternative provision or SEMH settings is highly desirable * The ability to teach across multiple humanities subjects, with a focus on PSHE * Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills * Empathy, resilience, and a child-centred mindset If you're a passionate humanities teacher looking to transform lives in an SEMH environment, we’d love to hear from you
