Job Description
Chief Executive Officer -Bristol Womens Voice
* Part-time (30 hours) | Bristol | £42,400 pro rata
* Help make womens equity a reality in Bristol.
Bristol Womens Voice exists to ensure that womens voices in all their diversity are heard, valued and able to influence the decisions that shape our city. Born from a city-wide consultation that revealed how routinely women were excluded from decision-making, the organisation has grown into a powerful collective of over 4,000 members, campaigners and allies.
As our current CEO prepares to step down in 2026, Bristol Womens Voice is now seeking an inspiring, values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next chapter.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a respected feminist charity at a pivotal moment: building on strong foundations, deep community trust and an ambitious vision for change.
The role
Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strategic leadership across the organisation from campaigning and partnerships to fundraising, finance and people management. You will be a visible and credible advocate for womens equity, representing Bristol Womens Voice locally, regionally and through the media, while ensuring the organisation remains accountable to the women and communities it exists to serve.
You will lead a small, committed team and freelance workforce, nurture partnerships across the city, and strengthen Bristol Womens Voices influence so that the lived experiences of marginalised women genuinely inform policy and practice.
About you
You will bring senior leadership experience ideally from the voluntary, community or public sector alongside a clear commitment to feminist values and intersectional practice. You are as comfortable shaping strategy and securing funding as you are listening, collaborating and building trust.
Above all, you will believe in holding power with communities rather than over them, and you will be motivated by the opportunity to create lasting, systemic change for women in Bristol.
Why join Bristol Womens Voice?
* A chance to lead an organisation with a strong reputation, loyal membership and meaningful impact
* The opportunity to work alongside an engaged Board and passionate staff team
* Flexible, part-time working in a values-led, inclusive organisation
* A role where your leadership will directly contribute to greater equity, voice and justice
Moon Charity Practice, is an equal opportunities employer and on behalf of the Bristol Womens Voice, welcomes applications from all areas of society
