About the role

Are you a passionate education professional with experience supporting vulnerable pupils? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority that champions innovation, cross-sector partnership, and improved outcomes for children and young people.

We are currently seeking a Stronger Schools Officer to join our Education & SEND Service. In this influential role, you will lead borough-wide work to support a vulnerable group of children, primarily from Armed Forces families, ensuring continuity, wellbeing and success across as part of our flagship Empowering Hillingdon’s Service Children programme.


What you'll do

* Managing a borough-wide caseload of service pupils with a focus on inclusion, attendance, and wellbeing
* Delivering targeted support and transition planning for children experiencing school moves due to parental deployment
* Building school staff capacity through training and champion networks
* Tracking outcomes via Hillingdon’s EYES system and Power BI dashboards
* Acting as a key liaison between schools, families, RAF personnel and Children Services


About you

You will bring strong relationship-building skills, professional curiosity and the confidence to operate across a complex system of schools, military contacts and borough teams. We are looking for someone who can:

* Work compassionately with children and families facing high mobility
* Communicate clearly with colleagues across education, health and social care
* Use digital systems to monitor, track and analyse pupil data
* Deliver practical, outcome-focused interventions for service pupils

Recruitment Information
