Your Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out planned preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements, and modifications to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
2. Developing a culture of continuous improvement to reduce engineering downtime and maintain plant efficiency, productivity, and quality.
3. Maintaining high standards of engineering, quality, safety, and hygiene.
4. Collaborating across mechanical and electrical trades, ensuring all work complies with GMP, health and safety legislation, and company standards.
5. Diagnosing faults and repairing plant, machinery, and site services.
6. Utilizing and developing the CMMS to achieve world-class asset performance.
7. Participating in statutory checks, supplier interactions, project work, and updates to electrical and mechanical drawings.
8. Leading or working within multi-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and plant performance.
9. Engaging in training and upskilling programs to stay abreast of technological advancements.
Requirements
* Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
* HND level education (desirable).
* At least 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
* Practical engineering experience and safety knowledge.
* Proficient with CMMS and electrical/mechanical drawings.
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Flexibility to utilize cross-skilling.
* Knowledge of permit-to-work, isolation, lock-off procedures, and continuous improvement techniques.
