People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts: Monday to Friday: 6.00am or 5.00pm starts
Pay rate: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:
* Operate and drive various class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
* Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed.
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK C+E Licence (CLASS 1)
* Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving a C+E vehicles.
* No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
* Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
* Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
* Experience operating various trailer types.
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
* Effective communication skills.
* Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Desirable Experience
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.
