A medium-sized law firm is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its Infrastructure team, with a focus on designing and implementing secure, scalable technologies that protect the firm’s systems and data. This role will work closely with the Security & Risk team to ensure all infrastructure solutions are aligned with established security best practices. The firm is currently undertaking an Azure migration and is also working towards Zero Trust, so there is plenty of opportunity to be involved in both project work and BAU.
The role will see you working on secure network architectures—including firewalls, VPNs, and zero trust models—across endpoints, data centres, and cloud environments, as well as implementing secure configurations for Azure IaaS, PKI systems, and segmented networks. The engineer will also play a key role in automating security operations, and scripting skills are required.
Candidates should bring hands-on experience in security engineering and a strong understanding of both traditional and cloud-native security technologies. A background in network architecture, particularly with tools like Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Meraki and micro segmentation platforms, is essential. Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages is highly desirable, along with the ability to think analytically and communicate effectively across teams. Relevant security and cloud certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Azure/AWS certs will be advantageous.
This is a hybrid position based in London, requiring three days per week in the office. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Base salary £90-100,000 + benefits.
