Senior Physiotherapist
Please note this is a fixed-term post and prior NHS experience is desired.
Location: Temporary contract Band 6 Physiotherapist, Community Unit, 27 Good Hope Hospital. The post may require working in other inpatient units.
Job Purpose
The post holder will work within the Multidisciplinary inpatient service to facilitate hospital discharge and provide rehabilitative treatment aligned with the service's objectives. They will act as an experienced physiotherapy practitioner, offering evidence-based specialist knowledge within the Urgent Care division.
The role involves conducting complex and routine physiotherapy assessments, implementing and monitoring treatment programs, and ensuring safe discharge or referral to other services. The post involves working collaboratively with patients, carers, and other health and social care agencies to promote independence and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
This exciting role involves working within the Discharge to Assess Model, managing a complex caseload of general medical, trauma, orthopaedics, and neurological conditions in older adults, emphasizing client-centered and holistic practice.
