This is a hands-on role offering real variety — from 3D modelling and technical drawing through to prototype builds and supporting production. Key Responsibilities * Creating 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks * Producing complete manufacturing data packs including drawings, BOMs and supporting documentation * Applying correct tolerances, fits and standards in line with BS 8888 * Rendering models for sales, marketing and internal presentations * Supporting prototype builds and getting involved practically where required * Working closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical and fit for manufacture * Attending project meetings to understand requirements and provide technical insight * Producing clear work instructions, assembly guides and packing documentation * Managing drawing revisions, document control, file structures and version control What You’ll Bring * Previous experience in a CAD design role within a manufacturing or engineering environment * Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks * Good understanding of engineering drawings and UK standards (BS 8888) * Awareness of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles * Experience within a workshop or fabrication environment advantageous * Experience producing photo realistic renders desirable * Understanding of document control or PDM systems * Confident user of Microsoft Office * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-growing environment * A methodical, structured and quality focused approach Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch) Benefits You’ll Enjoy 31 days holiday (including your birthday off) Free onsite parking Pension Scheme BUPA Healthcare plan Ongoing development opportunities If you’re looking for a role where precision, quality and collaboration are valued — and where you can play a key part in delivering innovative manufactured products — apply today and be part of a company that truly invests in its people and its future
