We’re hiring a Business Development Manager to join a specialist provider of turnkey energy solutions. This national role offers up to £60,000 depending on experience, where candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, with regular travel to client sites.


Our client is a leading energy transformation partner, delivering cutting-edge solutions in decarbonisation, energy generation, and consumption reduction. They work with large-scale public and private sector organisations across commercial, industrial, leisure, and agricultural sectors - helping them reduce operational costs, improve energy resilience, and accelerate progress toward Net Zero.


The Role


This is a full-spectrum business development role - from identifying and engaging new clients to closing deals and driving revenue. You’ll be supported by a central team of technical, design, procurement, and project delivery experts, allowing you to focus on strategic growth and relationship building.


You’ll work closely with senior leadership and the bid team to shape and execute a structured sales plan, targeting high-value opportunities across the UK.


Key Responsibilities


* Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities across public and private sectors
* Identify key stakeholders and navigate complex decision-making processes
* Develop tailored commercial proposals and financial projections
* Engage clients early in the procurement cycle to influence outcomes and support bid success
* Negotiate and secure multi-site, multi-technology energy projects
* Meet quarterly and annual KPIs across lead generation, win-rate, and revenue
* Maintain accurate CRM records and use data to inform strategic decisions
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions and repeat business


What they are looking for


* 3+ years’ experience in the renewable energy sector
* Proven track record in autonomous business development and sales
* Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels
* Ability to build trust and rapport with clients
* Willingness to travel nationally and hold a full UK driving licence
* Existing network within relevant sectors (highly desirable)
* Understanding of electrical principles or relevant technologies (preferred)
