A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join their growing Quality, Safety & Environmental team. This role is key to ensuring products meet strict customer, safety and regulatory standards while maintaining high operational compliance. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone with strong QA experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, factory‑based environment.
Responsibilities
* Factory-based quality support to ensure all product meets customer specification.
* Prepare required documentation for Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance.
* Manage and test all analytical criteria in line with customer specifications (excluding microbiological testing).
* Monitor and maintain production traceability systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Work closely with production teams to ensure deviations are flagged, actioned, re‑tested and recorded correctly.
* Ensure compliance with BRC, Customer Codes of Practice, ISO14001 and other relevant standards.
* Keep work areas audit‑ready at all times and actively participate in customer visits and site audits.
* Monitor waste processes and report any issues regarding legal compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar Quality role within manufacturing or production.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently, follow procedures and maintain high compliance standards.
* Flexibility to work 12‑hour shifts including days, nights and weekends.
Further Information
About the role: £31,500 - £33,000 per annum, 36‑48 hours a week, 12‑hour shifts including days, nights & weekends.
