Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and have a keen understanding of legal terminology and procedures. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our office and to providing support to solicitors and other legal professionals.

Duties
Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including managing correspondence and scheduling appointments.
Prepare and format legal documents in Microsoft Word, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Manage the office calendar, coordinating meetings and appointments effectively.
Conduct audio typing for dictations and transcribe legal documents as required.
Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and paper documents, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
Utilise Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling purposes, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Assist with preparing court documents and other legal paperwork, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Support the team in various administrative tasks as needed, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Requirements
Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Legal Secretary/ Personal Assistant, Administrator or in a similar administrative role within a legal setting is preferred.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong time management skills to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
Competence in audio typing is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical abilities.
Excellent diary management skills and organisational skills
