Edincare is seeking Trainee Drainage Engineer to join our small team. You should be a driven and motivated individual who is keen to learn and work hard. You will learn to operate jetting equipment, CCTV, pipe cleaning and patch lining, as well as the operation of vaccuum tankers. We operate throughout London and the Home Counties, we offer excellent opportunities for overtime and long term progression.
Responsibilities
The Trainee Drains Operative is responsible for:
General assistance to tanker drivers and drainage engineers;
Assist with pump station cleaning, liquid removal, high pressure jetting, CCTV investigation and drainage maintenance;
Attend client sites to assist lead engineer performing general pump station cleaning, drain/gulley cleaning, tankering, jetting, drainage CCTV surveys, drainage maintenance and confined entry.
As part of the role you will be required to lift weights of up to 25kg, work nights/weekends at enhanced rates and during all weathers.
Assist with daily walk around checks on HGVs prior to daily use.
Work closely with lead engineers to ensure a well rounded understanding of the industry.
Experience
The Trainee Drains Operative does not need particular qualifications or skills, but must show a strong work ethic and thirst to learn. We work hard, with long hours, but are well rewarded for those efforts.
In addition, the Trainee Drains Operative is expected to effectively demonstrate the following:

Edincare has been established for over 30 years, we specialist in the manufacture, project design, sale, commission, service and repair of pumped drainage equipment. Our expertise in pumps has led naturally to an expansion into general drainage and tankers.
