They are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. The client offers excellent career progression and development, and the ideal candidate will adaptable and open minded, able to engage with diverse teams constructively.\n \nSenior Mechanical Engineer\n \nPermanent\n£60,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience) \nMonday – Thursday, 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 15:30pm\nCroydon\n \nSenior Mechanical Engineer \nJob Description \n\nManage the engineering team, in relation to workload and Engineers workshop activity.\nTo have mechanical engineering experience, in relation to component and system failure analysis.\nSupport the business from a hands-on Engineering perspective including: -overseeing condition assessments, preparation for FAIs, warranty claim investigation, problem solving, creating method statements, creating component overhaul and reclamation instructions, test procedures, support with material analysis and comparisons, report reviewing and sign off.\nAccountable for the delivery of their own work and review/approve of the engineering team work.\nReview drawings, designs from reverse or re-engineering projects for mechanical components/systems.\nAssist and identify training requirements, ensuring the team continue their development in general engineering, product knowledge, safety, confidence, attitudes, processes, skills, standards, etc.\nTo understand and work within a range of requirements including British / ISO / RISAS standards applicable to mechanical and rail engineering systems. \nSenior Mechanical Engineer \nEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications\n\nExperienced engineer HNC/HND qualification or in a mechanically biased engineering discipline.\nA minimum of 15 years professional engineering experience, including 5 years of managing an engineering team with a good balance of general engineering, reverse engineering, unit testing, problem solving, understanding technical process, report writing and review for technical investigations.\nKnowledge of various industries from heavy Engineering, Rail – Marine, Power Generation and Oil - Gas.\nAn understanding of CAD packages such as Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor and Team Centre. \nSenior Mechanical Engineer \nCompany Benefits\n\nAnnual Bonus (pro rata on year of joining)\n25 days holiday (pro rata on joining)\nPensions 3% EE and 6% ER\nLife Assurance & Salary/Bonus Sacrifice\nPrivate Health Care & Dental Health Care \nIf you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply
