Job Description Equity Capital Markets Associate / Senior Associate Location : Birmingham Salary : £85,000 to £115,000 bonus (dependent on experience) Experience : 4 years’ PQE This is a great opportunity for an Equity Capital Markets Associate or Senior Associate to join a national ECM team, based in Birmingham, working on high-value transactions with the support of a wider national corporate platform. You’ll advise corporates, investment banks, brokers and major shareholders on a broad range of capital markets matters, with additional exposure to public M&A and corporate governance. If you enjoy transactional work, want to take ownership of matters, and like the idea of mentoring juniors while helping grow a practice, this role offers real scope. The Opportunity Advise on equity capital markets transactions including IPOs, equity subscriptions, rights issues, placings, private placements, block trades and buy-backs Support clients on both the Main Market and AIM, and on UK and international exchanges Handle a diverse workload spanning ECM, public M&A and corporate governance Take ownership of transactions, managing timetables, stakeholders and deliverables Work closely with senior colleagues nationally on complex and high-value matters Contribute to business development and build your network in the ECM market Mentor and develop junior corporate lawyers What We’re Looking For Essential Qualified solicitor in England and Wales 4 years’ PQE with strong equity capital markets and public M&A experience Confident managing transactions and taking ownership of matters Strong technical ability with a commercial, solutions-focused approach Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills Personable, driven and collaborative, with the confidence to build relationships Willingness to mentor junior colleagues Desirable Prior cross-border transactional experience (helpful but not essential) Experience advising a mix of issuers, banks/brokers and major shareholders What’s On Offer Salary of £85,000 to £115,000 bonus (dependent on experience) High-quality, complex ECM work with national support and strong technical resources Structured career development, coaching and a transparent promotion process Comprehensive benefits package with flexible options (including annual leave options, pension, wellbeing support and additional benefits) About Our Client Our client is a forward-thinking national law firm with a strong corporate platform and an established equity capital markets capability.
