Overview
As a Receptionist you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer. Welcoming them in, understanding how they are feeling, and making sure they have a great experience. You will know that first impressions count.
Responsibilities
* Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
* Managing the diaries and making sure that the time is filled correctly
* Working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
* Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
* Taking payments and chasing outstanding patient debt
* Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations
* Build trust through efficiency, accuracy, and people skills; be a great communicator able to talk clearly and calmly with every patient in person and over the phone
* Handle patient concerns and queries regarding treatments, including pricing and follow ups; capability to build rapport and provide a high level of customer service
* Ability and passion to build knowledge of treatment options within the dental sector – becoming an expert on what the practice has to offer
* Passionate about driving the success of the practice by seizing opportunities
* Able to follow processes and work in a structured and organised way
* Comfortable working to practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture and rebooking)
* IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
* Positive nature with resilience and a composed manner
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent team player
